Electives & Extra-Curricular Opportunities

At Outlook Christian School, we believe students thrive when they are encouraged to explore their God-given talents, interests, and creativity. Our electives and extra-curricular opportunities are designed to enrich the academic experience, build confidence, and help students discover new passions in a Christ-centered environment.

From music and drama to guitar, and more, students have the opportunity to grow beyond the core classroom setting—developing skills, friendships, and character along the way. Whether a student loves the arts, enjoys hands-on learning, or wants to strengthen their communication and leadership abilities, our programs equip them to pursue excellence while honoring the Lord in all they do.

Drama

Each year, students in grades 6–12 have the opportunity to participate in our drama program, offered one semester annually. Through this class, students learn acting fundamentals, stage presence, teamwork, and creative expression as they prepare a full theatrical production for parents and the community. Past performances have included beloved classics such as Pride and Prejudice and Around the World in 80 Days. Our drama program encourages students to grow in confidence, explore their talents, and shine for God through the arts.

Food + Nutrition

In our Food + Nutrition elective, high school students gain practical, real-world skills as they explore the fundamentals of cooking, meal planning, and healthy living. This hands-on, Bible-centered course teaches students how to prepare nourishing meals, understand the role of nutrients in the body, read and evaluate food labels, and make wise choices that honor the bodies God has given them.

Students also learn about hospitality, kitchen safety, and the joy of serving others through food—developing confidence and life skills they will carry into adulthood.

Wood Shop

Once a month, select Middle and High School students have the opportunity to participate in our Wood Shop class—a hands-on learning experience that sparks creativity, problem-solving, and practical skill-building. Under guided supervision, students learn tool safety, basic carpentry techniques, and how to design and construct simple projects.

This class not only teaches craftsmanship and attention to detail, but also encourages patience, perseverance, and confidence as students see their ideas take shape. Wood Shop offers a unique chance for students to explore a trade skill, work with their hands, and experience the satisfaction of creating something from start to finish.

Physical Education

Elementary PE

Our Elementary PE program keeps students active, engaged, and developing healthy habits through fun, age-appropriate movement activities. Students build coordination, teamwork, and confidence while learning the importance of honoring God with their bodies through physical activity. From games to skill-building exercises, PE provides a joyful way for children to grow physically and socially in a supportive environment.

Weights (Middle & High School)

Our Weights class offers Middle and High School students a safe and structured environment to learn strength training fundamentals. Students receive guided instruction on proper form, functional movement, and fitness principles while using our well-equipped weight room. This class helps build physical strength, endurance, and confidence—encouraging students to care for their health and develop lifelong fitness habits.
